A small child in a yellow shirt leaning in to kiss their father on the cheek, the two of them sitting together on the floor of a sunlit home.

After God,
he is the only one
who understands
the silent language I speak!!

When I am angry,
he gives a kiss!
When I am sad,
he gives love!!

‘Is Heaven real?’ I asked.
He winked and laughed!
‘Is God real?’ I asked.
He kissed my forehead!!

Unaware, my wife said,
‘Eat without spilling!’
His mischievous look said,
‘My spilling
is your blessing!!’

Not understanding
what he says,
I looked at God.
With a smile, God said —
‘That, in baby talk,
is the secret of the universe!!’

When tears come,
I hold them in —
‘Men must not cry!’
He sees that and starts to cry —
‘Look, I am God,
and I still cry!!’

Casually, I asked God —
‘Am I worthy to be his father?’
Stroking his chin, God said —
‘I too am wondering —
Am I worthy to be his God?’
